Faktakini.net, Jakarta - The Commission for Missing Persons and Victims of Violence (KontraS) revealed a number of oddities in the gunshot case of 6 Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Laskar at the Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) KM 50 toll road.
Deputy Coordinator of KontraS, Rivanlee Anandar, said that this oddity was divided into three things. First, in the pre-incident anomalies were found in which the apparatus was stalking Habib Rizieq Shihab. Then on the way, six FPI frontline guards died because they were shot by the authorities.

He said the police surveillance which ended in the shooting of six people did not match the original purpose of the investigation. The reason is, reconnaissance or surveillance is usually carried out to gather information.
"Now this pre-incident shows that there are irregularities. Maybe there is a purpose to kill them. If 6 people have important information, the police should incapacitate, not kill them, because they return to their destination, dig up important information. But the facts say, turn them off, so information what will be sought? It does not match the original purpose, "he explained.
Second, the peculiarity at the time of the event is the amount of summarized information about it. The statement from the Police and FPI is different. The police said there was an attack from the victim. Meanwhile, FPI said otherwise.
Then, Rivanlee assessed that the information conveyed by Bareskrim Polri after the reconstruction also seemed far-fetched. For example, the 4 FPI members who were said to be armed were taken into the police car without being handcuffed. Then from there there was resistance so that they had to be surgically removed.
"The information on the results of the reconstruction submitted by Bareskrim also seems far-fetched, full of questions, every time they issue a statement there are further questions," he added.
"Four people who are suspected of possessing sajam or penny are arrested and put into the car without consideration outside the car, that's the reason they turned off. Did the police not measure how the conditions were outside or before? If you had any, you must have taken steps. to guard those in the car. This seems like unprepared. Even though surveillance must be prepared beforehand, "he added.
Finally, after the incidents, Rivanlee saw a lot of police involvement in the formation of the investigation team. Supposedly, he said, the team to investigate the case should be dominated by non-police parties. The aim is to maintain independence and ensure that this case is resolved so that there is no recurrence.
"The independent team should be filled more by non-police. The duty of the police is to guarantee every access. To guarantee access to information, support for evidence, and so on, to convey it as it is. If the police do not guarantee that, there must be a guarantee from a higher level, the President.
